The Mercure Southgate Hotel is located in the heart of Exeter, a short stroll from the Cathedral and Princesshay Shopping Centre. Built originally around two Georgian townhouses the hotel is a perfect blend of historic and contemporary. The Southgate also has a health club with indoor swimming pool and gym. There are 154 well appointed bedrooms, including air conditioned Privilege rooms and Cloisters Restaurant offers excellent modern cuisine in elegant surroundings. Car park is available on-site.
The Region have provisionally set aside 40 rooms at a discount price of £85 Double/Twin Bed per night B&B and Single occupancy will be £75 per night B&B. There is parking at the hotel and we have obtained this at half price, £5 per night instead of the usual £10, but there are several places to park nearby also. Camping this year is at Webbers Park, Castle Lane, Woodbury, Exeter, Devon, EX15 1EA. Webbers Park is situated within walking distance of the charming village of Woodbury, where you can wine and dine in The Maltsters Arms, which has a fine selection of ales, pub food and a first class restaurant which is located at the back of the building. The village also has a fast food takeaway, convenience store and other services and is only 8 miles from the centre of Exeter and The Mercure Southgate Hotel. The site is easy to reach, being conveniently located near the two main routes into the region. This makes it an ideal park for touring caravans and motor homes wishing to camp for this years Region Dinner and Dance.
Camping Fees for the Dinner and Dance, including electric hook-up are £10.00 PUN (2 Adults). Coach transport will again be provided to and from the hotel on Saturday Night.
