New Holiday Site

Dianne and I would like to wish all the members of the South West Region a Happy and Prosperous New Year. Let us hope that 2012 is a little easier for all of us and that it doesn’t stop us from enjoying our camping. I know numbers are slightly down on 2011 Holiday Sites, but I’m sure this is because of the cost of fuel.

My congratulations go out to Anne Dearling who as you probably know by now, has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Camping and Caravanning Club. This is a great honour for the South West Region and we hope Anne and Mike enjoy their new role.

I hope to see you all at the Region events next year. We have three holiday sites organised, Trevornick Holiday Park, Holywell Bay, Cornwall, Abbey Gate Farm Camp Site, Axminster, Devon and Lytchett Minster Rugby Club, Poole, Dorset. All these sites are within easy reach of many tourist attractions and places of interest.

Wiltshire DA host the 2012 S.W.R AGM which will be held on Saturday 12th May at Lansdowne Hall, Derry Hill, Nr. Chippenham. The 2012 Summer Meet is in the safe hands of Cornwall DA at Higher Golla Touring and Camping Park, Penhallow, Truro and the 2012 Dinner & Dance will be in Exeter at the Mecure Exeter Southgate Hotel on Saturday 13th October. This is a new venue for the Region and as with all our other events we would love to see you their.
