Training Seminar

Successful South West Region Treasurers Seminar Held.

Members from DAs and Sections from across the South West Region and neighbouring areas came together on 16 May for a successful and informative Treasurers Training Seminar held at Moorehayes Community Centre.

The seminar was expertly delivered by SWR Treasurer Alan Oakley-Jones and SWR Chairman Joy Gow, who guided attendees through a packed programme covering key areas of the treasurer role.

Throughout the day, members took part in discussions and information sessions covering everything from QuickBooks and VAT processes to reporting, committee meetings and year-end preparation. One of the highlights of the seminar was Joy’s practical “top tips”, which offered helpful advice and insights drawn from experience and encouraged plenty of discussion amongst attendees.

The relaxed and supportive atmosphere helped make the day both enjoyable and worthwhile, with members sharing ideas, asking questions and gaining confidence in their roles. The seminar also provided a great opportunity for members from across the region to connect and support one another.
